Looks Like Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Will Be the 9th EVO 2017 Game.

By Keith MitchellJanuary 30, 2017

When the EVO 2017 game line-up was revealed, several fan favorite titles were omitted. This, of course, included Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I’m sure everyone who loves and plays Marvel wasn’t too thrilled with that decision, which is something I’m sure Mr. Wizard and crew were banking on. So instead of being automatically picked, fans of that title and others were able to vote it in… with their money. This all was for a good cause since all proceeds will be donated to Make-a-Wish International.

At the moment, it seems that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will, in fact, be the 9th game for EVO 2017. Currently, the game has over $15,000.00 USD worth of donations. To put this into perspective, the closest game is Pokkén Tournament at $11,000.USD, with Killer Instinct just short of $5,000.USD. What makes this, even more, impressive is that amount is from 272 donors.

To put this into perspective, the closest game is Pokkén Tournament at $11,000.USD, with Killer Instinct just short of $5,000.USD. What makes this, even more, impressive is that amount is from 272 donors. Now, while my speculation may be a bit premature, I really don’t see any game on the roster beating it out, barring Pokkén Tournament. That, I’d love to see ARMS get onto the main stage, but I don’t think that’s happening.

However, you’re definitely able to prove me wrong by heading over to Generosity and dropping down some fight money on your favorite game.

EVO 2017 takes place July 14-16, 2017, and is being held at the Mandalay Bay Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada. For more information on the EVO 2017 event, head over to the official website here.
