Sega confirms that Yakuza Zero is not heading to PC

By Keith MitchellSeptember 27, 2016

The box art for Sega’s upcoming Yakuza Zero had been released and some people had noticed that the “PlayStation Exclusive” branding was a bit different. Typically when a game is a PlayStation 4 console exclusive, it would have a different branding than of those that would be on the PlayStation 4 and also the PC – “PS4 Console Exclusive Game”. This was similar to what happened to Street Fighter V, which was also released on  the PC. Yet other titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn, have a slighty different branding that says “Only on PlayStation”. This gave the impression that perhaps Yakuza Zero was going to grace the PC with a playable version.

However, that’s not the case at all and Sega has put an end to the speculation today.

“All that is confirmed and all that players should expect is a PlayStation 4 release. There is no PC version in production.”

So there you have it. There is no PC release planned for Yakuza Zero and it will remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Yakuza Zero is slated for a January 24, 2017, release for the PlayStation 4.
