Sony’s 2-step verification for PSN is now live in North America

By Keith MitchellAugust 25, 2016

We previously reported that Sony was working on a 2-step verification system to help with securing PlayStation Network accounts. Initially, it was rolled out to select regions overseas. Today we’re happy to report that system has none gone live in North America. To access it, fire up your PlayStation 4 and head to Settings ->PlayStation Network/Account Management ->Account Information ->Security ->2-Step Verification. Or if you’re not near your PS4, you can access and set up the 2-step verification via your computer at this link.

Check out the screenshots below as it follows the process and order on how the 2-step verification is setup. Enjoy the added security of your PSN accounts and hopefully, this is the last time we’ll have to hear about someone’s PSN account getting compromised. And if you don’t think this is needed, well you either haven’t read the horror stories or haven’t been affected by this.

Seriously folks, enable the 2-step verification for your own good.
