With PAX East 2016 right around the corner, we need to help our fellow gamers to stay on the up and up. We’ve seen a lot of issues regarding cosplayer props, especially during Otakon 2015 and New York Comic Con 2014. However it also seems that PAX East has also tighten up their requirements, so pay attention. Due to a law that was passed in Boston, anyone bringing a replica or toy gun MUST have an orange tip on it.
If you don’t then you’ll run the risk of your item being taken from you until after the event or even denied access, so plan accordingly. The image below is exactly what happened at several events we attended. No one wants their stuff taken from them and the staff doesn’t like doing it, believe it or not.
