Hellblade now has a subtitle; the game is now called Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
In a post on the Playstation Blog, developer Ninja Theory shared some insight into their upcoming action title’s protagonist, claiming they aim to “make her one of the most believable characters ever seen in a video game.” Revealing a new cinematic trailer focused on the heroine, named Senua, they had this to say:
Senua is a Celtic Warrior who journeys into Viking heartland while struggling with trauma and psychosis. It is important for us to portray the physical, emotional, and mental trials of her quest in both the character model and the representation of her reality.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is expected for PS4 and Microsoft Windows sometime this year.
