Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Is Now Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

By Keith MitchellMarch 18, 2016

Aw Yes, the Daddy of Metroidvania titles is finally available for backwards compatible play on the Xbox One. Yep, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night can now grace the Xbox One in all of its glory and I can’t wait to play it, again!

Originally a PlayStation title, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, gave the Castlevania series a much needed shot in the arm and introduced new game-play elements and gave it a RPG-like nature. This eventually turned the title in the single most loved game in the entire Castlevania series, which still holds true today. The title was then ported over to the Xbox 360 back in 2007 as part of the Xbox Live Arcade on the Xbox 360, with the same great game-play with HD visuals. Oh, I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about that gem all over again.

If you don’t have it, but you own an Xbox One and love platforming titles, you owe it to yourself to pick this up. Especially since we’ll likely NEVER see anything like this come from Konami, ever again. Here’s the link, in case you need it.
