Crackdown 3 Out this Summer as Multiplayer Only

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieJanuary 12, 2016

Xbox Wire has released their game line up for 2016 and shows Crackdown 3 in a single bullet point: “Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer in Summer 2016”. So what does this mean exactly? There are many questions to be answered.

As we are in the day and age of not moving our heavy butts to friend’s living room to play a quick game, we have seen a few games that are heavily dependent on multiplayer or have a severely lacking single player story line. Hopefully the Crackdown team will execute their plans successfully for their sake but it seems that games being made now are shipped out half done with DLCs tagged on that make the shell of the game complete. Again, hopefully this will not be the case, but only time will tell.

There are opinions of Crackdown 3 Multiplayer potentially feeling like GTA Online through the power of the “Cloud”. Most are of course are saying “release the full single player and multiplayer when they’re done!” which I completely agree with. What is known is that eager Crackdown fans expect an exceptional solo play time with a diverse multiplayer even if it is decided to delay the release. I sure do.

For the full Xbox Wire Games Lineup, check it out here and start a discussion.
