NIntendo slashes the 2DS price to $99

By Keith MitchellAugust 20, 2015

The younger and 3d-less sibling of the Nintendo 3DS, the 2DS, is about to get even cheaper. Announced today, Nintendo will slash the price of the 2DS to just $99.99 as of August 30th, making it even cheaper for anyone to get in on some fun hand held action. The reduced priced 2DS will still retain the digital version of Mario Kart 7 as well.

The 2DS features a 3.53 inch LCD for the top screen and a 3.02 touch LED for the bottom screen, 4GB of space, 2 back facing / 1 front facing cameras, however it does not have a 3D function, unlike it’s 3DS brethren. Still at $99, it’s a steal. And don’t forget that there’s a handful of great 3DS/2DS games coming out this fall with The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes and Yo-Kai Watch.

Parents, you may have found a cheap and easy Holiday shopping gift right here.
