Here comes Daredevil! Guilty Gear XRD -REVELATOR-

By Holland CulbreathMay 27, 2015

Anyone who was ever a fan of Arcsys fighters knew that it was coming. True to form, Arcsys has announced location tests in Japan for the next iteration of their next-gen flagship franchise, Guilty Gear XRD. This version sporting the subtitle “Revelator” (what does that even mean?!), location tests for the new game are scheduled to take place over two weekends in June, the 5th – 7th, and the 19th – 21st. If you happen to be in Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka during those times, you too may get to participate if you can get to the Sega arcades, or the legendary a-cho.

With a new edition comes new characters, and as those who have played the story mode in Guilty Gear XRD -SIGN- might have guessed….

Here’s Johnny.

The veteran ladies man finally makes his playable return, and from the screenshots he looks stellar.

But wait, there’s more! Whereas many may have speculated that this followup would only contain the characters we’ve seen models of in SIGN’s story mode, apparently Arcsys has been busy working on a curveball to toss in the form of an entirely new mystery character! Unless you can tell us all who the hell this is:

We’ll be paying close attention to the details as more information is made available, but I’ve gotta admit, I’m already excited. It’s going to be a long two weeks to see what’s next in store for the Guilty Gear gang.
