Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain set to launch worldwide on September 1

By Keith MitchellMarch 3, 2015

Oops! In what was supposed to be an unveiling of the release date for the eagerly awaited Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (3.4.2015 @9AM PST), by none other than IGN, it seems all didn’t go as planned. As a matter of fact their epic announcement was scooped from them, thanks to a leak of their announcement video. Discovered by NeoGAF member, Nibel , this video not only confirms a September 1 release date but also some relevant information from the series creator, Hideo Kojima.

How relevant? For starters, Hideo, goes on to mention several things; Snake won’t talk as much this time around for starters and that this Metal Gear entry may very well be his last Metal Gear title. Now where have we heard that before, Hideo?

But I won’t spoil it all, you can check that out and more in the video below. And you better do it fast, IGN has been getting this video pulled… but to be fair, it’s their video and I understand 100%.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on September 1, 2015, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Which platform are you picking it up on? ME? You know the answer already, the Xbox 360…. PC!
