Harmonix: 1080p60 Rock Band 4 is a Go

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieMarch 19, 2015

The 4th edition of hit franchise Rock Band, will be run at 1080p/60fps when it makes its debut later this year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Eric Pope, one of Harmonix’s product managers, announced the news in an interview with MCV.

“We’ve built a brand new engine for Rock Band 4 to make the most of the new hardware. It’s going to look ‘next-gen’ with more realistic lighting, character models, and animation.” Pope stated in the interview.

Harmonix is also planning to update Rock Band 4 digitally, with Mad Catz handling the distribution of the game controllers.

Rock Band 4 is slated for release sometime in Q4 2015.
