Avengers: Age of Ultron Poster Released + Cast Details

By Walter MackFebruary 24, 2015
Age of Ultron

Marvel just tweeted the official poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Obvious returns are Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as the the Prince of Asgard, Thor. Mark Ruffalo reprises the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk, Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers/Captain America, with Scarlet Johansson and Jeremy Renner playing SHIELD agents Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Clint Barton/Hawkeye respectively. Samuel L. Jackson will also return as Nick Fury, with James Spader having been confirmed to play Ultron.

Also displayed are newcomers Elizabeth Olsen who will play the Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver. Both were seen in the post-credit scenes of Captain America: Winter Soldier. Paul Bettany’s Vision also appears to be in the background. Bettany also provides the voice for Stark’s A.I. system, Jarvis.

However, upon closer inspection, the cast list at the bottom seems to confirm that three characters will also be returning: Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell), Falcon (Anthony Mackie),  and Heimdall (Idris Elba). Agent Carter will wrap up its freshman season tonight on ABC at 9|8c. Mackie was introduced as the Falcon in Winter Soldier and has since declared much desire to continue with the role. Elba will make his third appearance as Heimdall, having previously played the Rainbow Bridge’s guardian in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World.

Walter is a California native. He is currently in his last year of college pursuing a B.A. in English, but is often mistaken for a freshman...or a middle school tourist on occassion. His earliest gaming experience was Pokemon Red version on the Gameboy color, which he played actively. He would dabble with the Nintendo 64 and Playstation 2 for a bit before transitioning to many years of F2P MMOs. He then moved on to League of Legends, with whom he as an on and off again relationship. He currently spends most of his game time on his Playstation 4. He's also a bit of a Marvel nut.
