So what is Mighty Gunvolt you ask? Well you could think of it as Gunvolt x Mighty No.9, that is to say it’s a fun 8-bit romp created by Init Creates, who happens to be best buds with the staff over at Comcept USA. That’s right in Mighty Gunvolt, heroes Gunvolt and Beck will team up in an 8-bit themed platformer title that features 5 different levels.

The title will be available for free to anyone who purchases Azure Striker: Gunvolt when it releases on the Nintendo 3DS shop on August 29th in North America for $14.99. Once the title is purchased they will be provided a code to download Mighty Gunvolt via their receipt. The offer is only good for 3 months and there has been mention on if Mighty Gunvolt will be available after the 3 month title as of yet.
I don’t own a 3DS (damnit Vita, where’s the games?) but my daughter does! Guess who’s 3DS is going to disappear very shortly.
