Spoiler Alert – Post credit screen from X-Men: Days of Future Past leaked and more

By Keith MitchellDecember 6, 2013

So it would see that the post credits to the upcoming X-men: Days of Future Past has been leaked by a reliable source and due to those events we’ll be lead into the sequel that was recently announced by Bryan Singer for a Summer 2016th release, X-men: Apocalypse.  Now before you get all uppity and start foaming at the mouth, no one is forcing you to look at the spoiler below but let’s be serious for a moment. The sequel was annouced even before the Days of Future Past was even released and the damned name is X-men: Apocalypse, surely you can put the pieces together to see where this is going.

But in the interest of fair sport, there be spoilers below. Read at your own peril.

spoiler-alert

You have been warned.

“The credits bumper jumps back to the past with a young Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) in a ramshackle house in the desert eating dinner, clearly on the run from all the authorities who want to bring him down. While using a well outside to get some water, the young Magneto sees something fall from the night sky and crash to Earth nearby. Upon inspecting the impact zone, he encounters what is described as an “alien form” who is “towering, terrifying, with a twisted metal face and dark pits for eyes.” It’s Apocalypse and he says, “I have crossed rivers of time to find you.” Magneto asks, “Who are you?”

The alien responds, “I am your future.” Suddenly Apocalypse merges with Magneto, who screams and blasts an insane amount of energy and shockwaves around him. This energy explosion levels everything around him, with a blast radius that goes for miles. As Magneto looks at what he’s done, he has a realization of the power he now holds and a villainous grin begins to form before the film cuts to black.”

So there you have it, Apocalypse, perhaps one of the most dangerous X-Men or Marvel villains for that matter will make his way into the X-Men movies. What rule he will play hasn’t been decided or announced, but let me be the first to say that I would love to see the 4 horsemen of Apocalypse in a Marvel movie. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if the title changed to X-Men: Age of Apocalypse and if it does I called it first!
