Avast, Ye Land Lubbers! Pirates Be On The Horizons!

By Keith MitchellMarch 8, 2012

What do you get with you combine Cell Shaded Graphics, the platforming of Super Mario Galaxy and a theme that comes straight out of Disney’s Treasure Planet? You get Pirates of New Horizons that’s what.

Pirates Of New Horizons is a upcoming indie title (and it’s very cute says my daughter) from Exit Strategy Entertainment that is being developed for The PC, MAcOS, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 currently and they are even open to suggestions for porting it to other systems as well. The game follows the antics of “Annha” a pirate who’s only goal is to become “filthy rich”, however along the way she finds out that her journey has become much more than she expected it to be.

While there’s no ETA on the games released there is  demo over at the site and it’s completely browser based as long as your computer can handle the Unity3D plugin – or just click here.

And if that wets your wish then you’ll love this. You can pre-order one of two different packages, Buccaneer (14.99) & Captain (24.99) edition; both give early access to the game’s finished “Volcano Island” stage, early access to future game content and even a copy of the preview version of the game. However only the Captain edition gives you a copy their  puzzle title ‘Planet Buster’, a copy of the Pirates of New Horizons soundtrack (composed by the Blake Robinson  Synthetic Orchestra) and you’ll get to have your photo featured in their Hall of Captains. Click the link to head straight to the pre-0rder page – here.

I already pre-ordered mine!
