One of my favorite games of 2019, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is getting some much-needed love. Now it has received several next-generation updates for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. This includes a frame rate increase, the addition of dynamic resolution scaling, and post-processing for the PS5/Xbox Series X.
This update is currently live, and you’ll see it pushed when you fire up the game or if you have standby mode enabled, it should be downloading now.
You can the updates below.
Xbox Series S
- Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up from 45 FPS)
Xbox Series X Performance mode
- Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS.
- Dynamic resolution added in the range of 1080p to 1440p
Xbox Series X Normal mode (non-performance mode)
- Postprocessing has been increased to 4K
- Dynamic resolution in the range of 1512p to 2160p
PlayStation 5
- Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up from 45 FPS)
- Postprocessing increased to 1440p
- Dynamic resolution has been disabled and the game is rendering at 1200p (up from 810-1080p)
All in all, it’s nice to see that the title is still receiving performance updates, though I’d love to see some DLC love as well. I’m still hoping we’ll see more from Respawn, as I enjoy the Star Wars universe, and this game is one of the best Star Wars titles to date. Sure, the last DLC we received was beefy, but it wasn’t enough, and I really wanted some new narrative based quests, especially since the ending did close with a cliffhanger.
