Here Are Your D.I.C.E Awards 2017 Game of the Year Winners

By Keith MitchellFebruary 24, 2017

The DICE Awards took place last night, and I’m sure you want to know if your favorite game won. Not to worry, as we’ll going to list all the winners. Now, before we get to that, I have to say that I’m really surprised by some of the selections and winners.

Now,I’m sure that some of you will be upset that your favorite game or perhaps the best game didn’t win. Keep in mind that the titles were selected by a panel and not by the fans of said titles.

That said, let’s get one to the winners!

Game of the Year: Overwatch
Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction: Inside
Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay: Overwatch
Outstanding Achievement in Game Design: Overwatch
Handheld Game of the Year: Pokemon Sun and Moon
Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year: Civilization VI
Fighting Game of the Year: Street Fighter V
Family Game of the Year: Ratchet & Clank
Sports Game of the Year: Steep
RPG/Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year: Dark Souls III
Racing Game of the Year: Forza Horizon 3
Immersive Reality Game of the Year: Superhot VR
Outstanding Technical Achievement: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Outstanding Achievement in Story: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design: Battlefield 1
Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition: The Last Guardian
Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction: Inside
Outstanding Achievement in Animation: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
D.I.C.E. Sprite Award: Inside
Adventure Game of the Year: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Action Game of the Year: Overwatch
Mobile Game of the Year: Pokemon GO
Immersive Reality Technical Achievement: Eagle Flight

I’m still confused as to how Dark Souls III is an RPG/MMO or how it beat Warcraft. Or how Street Fighter V won over Guilty Gear Xrd – Revelator, but here are your D.I.C.E Awards 2017 Game of the Year Winners.

Sorry TitanFall 2 and NBA 2K17, you were both robbed.
