Did Todd Howard Just Confirm Skyrim On Switch?

By Todd BlackNovember 21, 2016
Skyrim

When the Nintendo Switch was revealed, many, MANY, fans were overjoyed to see that Skryim was one of the titles that was revealed to be on the new console. But…not long after, Bethesda seemed to indicate that what was shown was not a port of Skyrim at all, but rather, just something made for the reveal video.

This made fans very confused, because Bethesda announced they were supporting the Switch, but if they weren’t bringing Skyrim to it, why show it in the reveal? Well, Todd Howard may have inadvertently confirmed Skyrim for Switch in an interview with Gixel. As he said when asked if Skyrim could really work on the go:

“It’s the same game on the TV and on the other screen.”

That definitely seems to be the case that Skyrim IS coming to the Switch. And Todd wasn’t done praising the Switch, he apparently got to see and play it during E3 this year, and he noted:

“I love it. I got to play it,” he said. “… One of the best demos I’ve ever seen. Probably the best demo I’ve ever seen. At E3.”

So which is true? Well, I trust most men named Todd, and especially this one. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Likely, we’ll get a full reveal during the special livestream on January 12th.
