Zlatan Is Here, There And Everywhere In EA Sports FC 26

By Jordan AndowSeptember 12, 2025
EA Sports FC 26 Zlatan FC

We are now mere weeks away from the release of EA Sports FC 26, and earlier this week we received some unusual news about a new team coming to the game. When I first heard this, I thought perhaps we’d see the return of Ted Lasso’s Richmond AFC, who have appeared in EA’s Football games previously.

Instead, we are about to get some people’s dream, but my personal nightmare, a team of Zlatan Ibrahimovićs, aptly named Zlatan FC. So yes, Zlatan fans, if you’ve ever dreamed of having the notoriously difficult-to-play-against striker available in every position, EA Sports FC 26 and Zlatan FC will give you that opportunity.

Zlatan FC will be available across Kick Off in FC 26, featuring a bespoke kit and logo inspired by (and requested by) the Swedish sensation himself. Zlatan once famously said he could play all 11 positions, and now he finally gets his chance in FC 26.

I appreciate that EA is leaning into the silly nature of this unique team, with them saying the following:

“At EA SPORTS FC we pride ourselves on bringing the world’s greatest football clubs together in our experiences, and as a long-time Zlatan FC fan, I’m thrilled to see the team make its digital debut in EA SPORTS FC 26,” said James Salmon, Senior Director, EA SPORTS FC Franchise Activation. “Our community has long clamoured for Zlatan to return to FC, and we’re excited for fans to take control of this illustrious club and its notable players such as Zlatan, Zlatan, and Zlatan.”

Pre-orders are now available for EA SPORTS FC 26, which will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. EA SPORTS FC 26 will be available worldwide to play on September 26, 2025, with early access through the Ultimate Edition beginning September 19, 2025.

Jordan has been playing games since the age of six. This ignited a passion which initially led him towards game development before trying his hand in the realm of games media, starting in 2022. It turns out he's quite good at it, even if he doesn't always believe in himself. Now, just a few short years later, not only is Jordan a valued member of our staff here at The Outerhaven, but he also co-owns and helps to run Analog Stick Gaming.
