YouTube Will Offer Support for All Monetized Channels, Unveils Mobile Live Streaming

During VidCon 2016, YouTube made an announcement regarding monetization that is sure to make everyone happy. It’s no secret that if had a smaller amount of views per month, compared to larger channels then you didn’t get access their support staff. This made is pretty damned hard to get stuff done, especially when you had a copyright claim strike against you, something that can take weeks or even months for smaller channels.  Well, that’s all changing, as YouTube is now making their support staff available to everyone.

This is damned good news, 2x fold actually. That means that they should be hiring more people to help with the increased support they’re going to be offering and good for smaller channels, who need help and need it faster than a few weeks.

They’ve also announced that they will finally start offering live streaming with it’s official YouTube mobile app. This comes off of months of rumors and speculation that YouTube was, in fact, planning something like this. Especially since their competitors like Periscope and Twitch, which have been offering this service for a while now.

Today, we are announcing a new chapter in bringing the power of live video to creators everywhere. Soon, we’ll be putting the power of YouTube live streaming in the palm of your hands.

YouTube mobile live streaming will be baked right into the core YouTube mobile app. You won’t need to open anything else, just hit the big red capture button right there in the corner, take or select a photo to use as a thumbnail, and you can broadcast live to your fans and chat in near real time

With more and more smartphones and tablets getting more powerful lenses and the portability, this is a smart move on YoutTube’s part. Just imagine this, smaller teams can cover events more easily, or you can capture events as they unfold wherever you go just by pulling out your smartphone. Looks like a lot of streamers bags just got a little lighter.

You can read up about what to expect with the new live streaming here. YouTube reports the new live streaming function will be rolled out to all users in the near future, while it is currently available now for a select few.
