Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Gets Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade

By Scott AdamsFebruary 19, 2026
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Main Art

One of my biggest wants from Nintendo on Nintendo Switch 2 is enhanced versions of the Xenoblade Chronicles games. Today, one of them has received their first upgrade for Nintendo Switch 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.

The main crux of this upgrade is in two parts. The first part is the resolution bump. It looks much more polished. The second part is that they finally removed the 30 FPS cap on the game. You can now play Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition at 60 FPS like God intended. Sounds like I need to get back to playing Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available to purchase. You can also buy the upgrade pack if you already own the game on Nintendo Switch.
