Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Has Gotten A Switch 2 Update

Will the others follow suit?
By Todd BlackJune 4, 2025
Xenoblade Chronicles 3

I’ve made it very clear over the last few years that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of my favorite video games ever. To me, it’s the best video game story ever written, especially with its deep takes on life and how much we fight for it in our own ways. With the Nintendo Switch 2 coming out at midnight tonight, many are looking forward not only to the new games on the system but also to going back to older ones and trying them out with some “performance upgrades.” Curiously, none of Monolith Soft’s titles made the cut. However, that has now changed.

As you can see below, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DID get an update for the Switch 2, and it promised “adjustments to improve gameplay.” More than likely, that means an improvement in framerate, though we don’t know for sure.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 received an update for Nintendo Switch 2.

"Several adjustments have been made to improve gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2."

Other Xenoblade titles did not post a Switch 2 update, at least not according to support site pic.twitter.com/PqaKXHzuDt

If the others in the franchise can get fun upgrades, this could easily make it worth a replay!
