Xbox Returns to Tokyo Game Show 2025 With Ninja Gaiden 4 and ROG Xbox Ally X

Xbox has announced its return to the Tokyo Game Show 2025, with a special broadcast set for Thursday, September 25 at 3:00 AM PT / 7:00 PM JST. The stream will feature updates from Xbox studios and partners across Japan, Asia, and the rest of the world.

The event will be streamed worldwide on YouTube and Twitch, with regional channels available for Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, and more. Main links include YouTube Xbox and Twitch Xbox.

If you’re heading to the show in person, there’s even more to look forward to. Visitors can try the first public hands-on of Ninja Gaiden 4 in Asia at the Koei Tecmo booth. You’ll also be able to test the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds at the ASUS ROG booth ahead of their October 16 launch.

We recently had the chance to go hands-on with both; check out our previews here:

Xbox has been showing up at TGS more often in recent years, bringing new game reveals and updates. In 2024, the showcase featured Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, and more. In 2023, it included Persona 3 Reload, Like a Dragon Gaiden, and Eiyuden Chronicle. Back in 2022, highlights included Persona 5 Royal, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Each year, Xbox has leaned harder into Japanese and Asian titles, and 2025 looks like it will continue that trend.

Xbox has always struggled to gain ground in Japan, but its consistent presence at TGS shows it’s serious about building momentum in Asia. With Ninja Gaiden 4 playable and new hardware to try, this year’s show is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet for Xbox fans.

Seriously, once fans get their hands on Ninja Gaiden 4, I expect to hear how great the game looks and feels.
