World’s First Official Ghost in the Shell Art Exhibition Comes to Three Major Cities

By Josh PiedraOctober 6, 2025

Today, it was announced that GAAAT, a Tokyo-based art technology brand, will be hosting the world’s first official Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex art sales event in three major cities

Here are the times and locations for each exhibit:

  • Los Angeles – October 16-19
  • Seattle – October 23-26
  • Chicago – October 30-November 2

Ghost in the Shell

The event originally launched in Taiwan, Singapore, and Paris to a high degree of success. The event aims to take iconic scenes from the TV anime and transform them into 3D artwork using GAAAT’s proprietary 32-layer design and specialized UV coating technology.

“GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its philosophical depth and striking visuals,” said a GAAAT spokesperson. “This exhibition marks a moment where pop culture meets fine art technology, creating maintenance-free artworks that retain their vivid form indefinitely through our proprietary metal base and printing methods.”

The collection features limited-edition pieces with certificates of authenticity. The exhibition also showcases an exclusive collaboration with Singapore-based illustrator GUWEIZ, who contributed promotional artwork.

GAAAT’s Metal Canvas Art technology represents a significant innovation in physical artwork creation. The process involves:

  • Advanced Manufacturing: Up to 32 proprietary data layers create millimeter-precise reliefs, guided by dedicated art directors who determine optimal depth construction for maximum visual impact.
  • Industrial Durability: Metal canvas material resists humidity and aging while maintaining exceptional durability, utilizing materials typically reserved for industrial applications rather than fine art.
  • Dynamic Visual Experience: Multiple UV ink layers applied through specialized methods achieve vibrant colors and detailed textures that create tactile experiences unique to the MCA format.
  • Rigorous Quality Control: Expert artisans thoroughly inspect every piece before framing, ensuring each artwork meets GAAAT’s uncompromising standards.

Visitors who make reservations will receive complimentary postcards featuring select artworks. Additionally, exclusive, limited merchandise available only at the venue provides further collectible opportunities for fans and art enthusiasts.
