Tron: Ares Gets Official Trailer

Tron Ares

While July 2025 appears to be a significant month for “summer blockbusters,” with one more still to arrive, that doesn’t mean the rest of the year lacks major releases. One such big release happens in October, when Tron: Ares finally arrives in theaters.

The third major installment of the franchise will feature something teased heavily in the last film: the programs of the computer world coming to the real world. The twist, as the official trailer below shows, is that it’s humans who bring them into the real world to serve them. Yeah, we see “no problems” with that idea at all…

The titular “Ares” program, played by Jared Leto, is billed to the military and others as a soldier of the highest caliber. One that can do all sorts of things, and then just be “built again” should the worst come to pass. However, things soon go wrong, and not only do the programs strike in the real world, but Ares starts to malfunction and wants to know about truly living. That will lead him to meeting not only a human he makes a connection with, but Flynn himself, played once more by Jeff Bridges.

You can check out the full Tron Ares trailer below!
