GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) announced today that the Switch 2 Edition of Trails In The Sky First Chapter will release on September 19, the same day it releases on other consoles. Fans of the series were previously aware that the game would receive a Switch 2 upgrade, but it wasn’t clear whether the enhanced version would be available on launch.

A simultaneous release for Switch and Switch 2 is the latest in a rapid fire series of move made by GOEA and Nihon Falcom to make the remake as accessible and enjoyable as possible. This includes pricing the Switch 2 upgrade at just $1 and announcing a series of DLC. The upgrade pack includes higher resolution and frame rate, and reduced load times.

As for the DLC, GOEA announced today the release date and prices for all DLC packs. You can buy each pack as it releases or you can buy the recently revealed Season Pass or Digital Deluxe Edition.
