Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Will Get Simultaneous Worldwide Release Next Year

By Todd BlackDecember 18, 2025
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

While I may not be the biggest “Trails” fan here on The Outerhaven (that would be Scott, who loves the franchise with all he has), I was able to partake in the remake of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter (which Scott reviewed here). It was an incredible RPG, and easily one of the best games of 2026. So, imagine my surprise when a “certain ending” happened and we got a teaser for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, which will drop next year. Needless to say, I’m excited for it. Today, though, Falcom made it known that the title will have a simultaneous release on all systems worldwide next year.

That means that if you want to get the game on PC/Steam, the Switch, or Nintendo Switch 2, or PS5, they’ll all drop at once next year. That’s a big deal, and it will likely help with sales of the title, which were pretty good, according to Falcom’s President earlier this year.

A special teaser site was also started up for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, which showcased more art, including the special art you see above. Plus, they dropped the teaser trailer that was at the end of the 1st game for those who completed it.

No matter when you came into this franchise, there’s a lot to look forward to in 2026.
