The Outerhaven Productions Application Form

You’ve reached our application page, which means you’re here to apply to our little corner of the internet, right? Or perhaps you’re a spy… you aren’t a spy, are you?

To apply to The Outerhaven Productions, please complete the form below. Once submitted, we will get back to you within 48 hours. Due to the volume of submissions we receive and the number of open positions, we cannot accept everyone.

Why write with us?

The Outerhaven is an independent geek culture website that has been around since 2011. We provide news, reviews, editorials, and videos covering anime, video games, manga, film & tv, and technology to our expanding audience. We’ve attended events such as Comic-Con, E3, PAX, and others to cover the ever-changing geek culture landscape.

The opportunities available to our writers are directly tied to the drive and passion they bring to the site. Who doesn’t want early access to the next big game, upcoming anime, or an invite to interview your favorite developer or voice actor? If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, The Outerhaven is the place for you.

What’s in it for you?

We’re currently listed in multiple review aggregators, such as Metacritic, Opencritic and CriticDB. Whether you’re new to writing or just looking to gain traction, we’re a solid launching pad that will give you real experience and teach you the ins and outs of article creation. Freelance arrangements are welcome as well.

Positions we’re looking to fill

All positions are volunteer-based. We’re looking for dedicated people who stay committed through the slow seasons and the busy ones alike. The Outerhaven has been going strong, and we’re looking to add staff who are ready for everything the future has in store.

We’re currently seeking writers who can actively contribute to the site on a daily basis. That means maintaining a high level of quality and grammar in your articles. We want people who genuinely love this stuff, who follow the news and trends, and who know the space inside and out. You’ll be working alongside others who are just as passionate.

Experience with WordPress is a plus, but we will train the right candidates.
