Earlier this year, TOHO Animation announced that a sequel to The Apothecary Diaries TV anime was in production, but no additional information was revealed at the time. On Wednesday, TOHO confirmed that the series will be receiving both a third anime season and an original film during a trailer celebrating the second season of the anime. The trailer can be viewed below.
The trailer confirms that the third season will be split into two parts, with the first premiering in October 2026. The second part will premiere in April 2027. The film will feature a new story by author Natsu Hyūga and will be released in December 2026.
The first season began airing in Fall 2023 and received an 8.86 score on My Anime List. The second season began airing in Winter 2025 and received an 8.91 score.
