TGS 2025: Street Fighter VI C. Viper will be Playable

By Kevin KellySeptember 20, 2025
C. Viper Street Fighter VI

Capcom announced that C. Viper will be in a demo for the Tokyo Game Show this year. C. Viper will be the second character to come out of the Season 3 DLC, alongside returning characters Sagat, Alex, and Ingrid. If history repeats itself, C. Viper’s gameplay trailer may not be too far behind. Attendees will be able to try her out firsthand to see what tricks she’ll be bringing along to Metro City. Terry’s reveal last year had his gameplay trailer show up nearly a month after his Evo 2024 reveal.Street Fighter 6 - C.Viper header image Street Fighter 6 - Year 3 Character Reveal Trailer 1-36 screenshot

C. Viper may also be in the presentation that Capcom will have for the expo. The CIA agent has missed a few mainline entries since her Street Fighter IV debut. She’s even been a part of the Marvel vs Capcom 3 roster as a suitable rushdown character. Personally, I’m not really for her, but Street Fighter IV representation is a lacking breed in the latest game.

C. Viper gets the occassion-set Fighting Pass fixins before her arrival known as the “C. Viper Arrives” set. Cammy and Guile get new duds. New stickers are also present with El Fuete, Rufus, and Hakan, from Street Fighter IV. Hakan emotes are also here, too, just in case you wanna get oily.

Strangely enough, there is a particular screen that could be a new stage for Alex. At the 0:56 mark, the avatar character is fighting someone in a backdrop similar to Alex’s stage in Street Fighter 3: Second Impact. This could just be a simple nod to the game, but it seems pretty loud. Mai’s Master Location was pretty much Capcom’s take on her Fatal Fury 2 stage, so this could just be that.

As usual, there might be a lucky creator who will be able to grace the internet with more C. Viper shots before Capcom’s gameplay video and Character Guide. A Stage demo will happen on Saturday, September 27th. Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto will be hosting it alongside Japanese player Betty, to push C. Viper to certain limits.
