Tekken 8 Victor Chevalier reveal and gameplay trailer

By Keith MitchellNovember 2, 2023
Tekken 8 Victor Chevalier reveal

Bandai Namco has revealed one of the final two characters for Tekken 8’s base roster, and this reveal is super classy. Victor Chevalier, who looks fantastic in action, puts a beatdown on several characters, including Raven. He also trained the Raven Force, the same faction that produced Raven and Master Raven. I suppose this is why we won’t see Master Raven in the game. Part of Victor’s kit includes a pistol (See, Nina isn’t the only one with guns),  two knives, and a bad-ass-looking sword.

Victor looks amazing in action; everything he does is smooth, and I had to watch the gameplay trailer multiple times. He seems like a character I’d like to play, but based on his moves, he seems like an advanced character. But, what’s also interesting about this character is that he’s voiced by Vincent Cassel, a French actor, and this will be his voiced video game character. Victor also happens to be the first French player in the Tekken series.

Victor’s stage also looks amazing. Here, we can see a very large and extravagant boat/yacht as it scrolls past a city line, with the Eiffel Tower in the background.  If there’s one thing Bandai Namco does right, it’s the stages we’ve seen in various Tekken games, and this one is no exception.

Tekken 8 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 26, 2024.
