Capcom released the trailer for C. Viper. Everyone’s favorite mommy CIA Agent turned SiRN Researcher has a lot to do with the World Warriors in her second canon appearance. What is she after this time, since Shadowloo is “somewhat” gone? Why is she using M. Bison’s data as a clone punching bag? We’re not answering these today. No need to .. yet.
Grace Hill…err, C. Viper is a deep character to use. Inspectress Gadget’s got her Super Jump back. C. Viper can feint certain moves, such as the Seismic Hammer invisible projectile and Thunder Knuckle uppercut. According to Rooflemonger, C. Viper’s Super Jump costs a Drive Meter stock. The drive version of Seismo can launch on hit. The Burning Kick can be used as a crossup, too, and can get an additional push hit on drive. Surprisingly, C. Viper has an armor move similar to the Focus moves in Street Fighter IV. Thunder Knuckle has a downward follow-up.
Just like clockwork, Twitter account Oshinopepe has grabbed C. Viper’s moveset with Eventhubs to translate it. You can see the full translated list here.
Gamespot has been given Level 7 gameplay footage of C. Viper in action. With her new look and, of course, her legacy Street Fighter IV threads, this is definitely a throwdown to watch.
Capcom also doubled down with a single release of Mecha Zangief’s fit for Outfit 4. Mecha Zangief is Zangief’s alter ego in the Marvel vs Capcom series, armed with a white flamethrower and iron-clad hands to be thrown. Just like his Street Fighter V skin, it’s not really going to come with his set from the game.
C. Viper will be coming to Season 2 Fight Pass on October 15th to join Sagat. Former Street Fighter vets Alex and Ingrid will be coming at a later date to Street Fighter VI.
