It was announced by Paramount that the popular sci-fi series, Star Trek, will launch an original comic on WEBTOON in 2026.

Star Trek

The collaboration with WEBTOON is part of Star Trek’s 60th anniversary celebration.

As of now, no details have been announced about the story of the comic, artists, or staff; however, this isn’t WEBTOON’s first time venturing into the world of Western comics. Previously, they partnered with IDW Publishing to bring several of their titles to the platform. In addition, they began to add manga, more specifically, Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist.

In addition, WEBTOON recently announced a partnership with Disney to bring over 100 comics from Disney, Marvel, 20th Century Studios, and Star Wars to their mobile vertical scroll format.
