Splatoon 3 Brings Back “Summer Nights” Theme For Newest Splatfest

How do you "get around?"
By Todd BlackJune 20, 2025
Splatoon 3, Splatfest

It’s an interesting period for us Splatoon fans, as we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 4th mainline entry into the series, and then, we got the announcement of Splatoon Raiders a little while ago, and we’re now waiting for more info on that! However, while we await those things, Splatoon 3 still has stuff to offer…as ironic as that sounds. It’s time for another Splatfest, and this one brings back the “Summer Nights” tag that the game has used in the last few Summer seasons. So, what is the topic we’ll be “fighting for” this time? Why, it’s about your favorite modes of travel!

Whether you’re travelling by land, sea or air, plot a course for Summer Nights, arriving in the Splatlands on July 12th! #Splatoon3 pic.twitter.com/ym8HMstYYe

Oh, and before you ask, yes, this was confirmed as the US version of the Splatfest. They even revealed some of the looks you’ll get for the event!

To celebrate Summer Nights, some throwback Splatoon 2 gear is on its way! These fresh fits will be distributed via a Splatoon 3 News article on your Nintendo Switch system. pic.twitter.com/hCqLwQ6851

So, yeah, Splatoon 3 will keep us occupied on this July weekend, and it’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top this time around! After all, the game almost NEVER gives the result you expect, and that makes it all the more fun.
