By Todd BlackNovember 10, 2025
Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Online

While certain other companies haven’t done the best with backward compatibility over the years, Nintendo has been the king of it since the earliest consoles and handhelds they’ve made. Almost every single platform has had that function, and now, that applies to the Nintendo Switch 2. The Big N didn’t hesitate to let players know that their OG Switch titles would work on the new system, and now, it’s backing it up in another way: via a compatibility checking site.

The site itself is simple. All you do is go to it via the link below, and then type in the game that you want to play on the Nintendo Switch 2! Want an example? Well, I’m a fan of the Bayonetta franchise, so I typed in the third game and got this result:

This will make it really clear to gamers which titles the Nintendo Switch 2 can play with ease, and which are some of the few that won’t work 100% on the system. So, if you have any doubts about your favorite titles being able to function properly on the platform, check out the site for yourself and type your game’s name in:
