Despite coming out last year, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has been making all manner of news since its debut. For example, we gave it a high score on our review, and the game was so well-received that it sold over a million units. Since then, SEGA has dropped new content featuring new racers like Joker, Ichiban, NIGHTS, and even Pac-Man recently! However, the thing that many have noticed is the atypical release schedule on the Nintendo Switch 2. The game came out on the OG Switch first, then had the digital release on the new console, and SEGA left fans waiting for the physical version.
However, in a press release today, SEGA revealed that Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will finally arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Plus, they confirmed that the game will be fully on the game’s cartridge, with no key card requirement like with other 3rd party titles.
Thus, if you’ve been waiting for a chance to get the game, you’ll soon have a full array of options to choose from, and then, you can go racing with Sonic and friends.
