Silent Hill f Has Sold Over 1 Million Copies in Two Days

By Keith MitchellSeptember 29, 2025

Konami has announced that Silent Hill f, the latest entry in its long dormant horror franchise, has already sold over 1,000,000 copies (across physical and digital). That is impressive on its own, and even more striking considering the game only released on September 25, 2025, just two days ago! This number was originally thought to be four days, but Konami contacted us and provided the correct number.

Konami announces that SILENT HILL f has already reached one million units sold worldwide. Having launched on September 25th, this figure reflects digital and physical sales on PlayStation5, XBOX Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games, and Microsoft Windows as of September 26th.

In comparison, the Silent Hill 2 Remake was stated to have sold around the same amount in under a week, but we don’t know the specific number of days.Silent Hill f - 1 million copies sold in two days

The Silent Hill series has always been about unsettling atmosphere, terrifying jump scares, and powerful storytelling. Yet for decades, the franchise struggled to recapture its former glory. The last major release, Silent Hill: Downpour, was poorly received, and Silent Hill 2 Remake, while celebrated, was still a remake rather than a fresh experience.

That left fans skeptical about Silent Hill f. Some players voiced concerns about the gameplay, while others mistakenly compared it to a Soulslike. We have covered why it is not a Soulslike here.

Despite the doubts, Silent Hill f has earned praise from fans and critics alike. Our own review noted how the game embraces the spirit of the franchise while taking bold steps forward. For longtime Silent Hill fans who have been starving for something new, it has been a rewarding return. Check out our glowing Silent Hill f review here.

The sales success is not only good news for Konami but also for the horror genre. While Capcom’s Resident Evil has dominated survival horror in recent years with several strong releases and the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem generating plenty of hype, Silent Hill f proves that there is still plenty of life in Konami’s iconic series.

In short, this milestone signals that Silent Hill is back in the conversation and may finally reclaim its place alongside Resident Evil at the top of survival horror. With Silent Hill f out, I wonder what else Komani has in store for the series and its fans.
