ShapeHero Factory Comes to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5

By Josh PiedraSeptember 17, 2025
ShapeHero Factory

It was announced that Japanese games publisher Asobism is bringing ShapeHero Factory to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on Thursday, September 18. The game is currently available on PC via Steam.

After a successful Early Access period filled with updates, seasonal events, and community-driven improvements, ShapeHero Factory is ready for its full  launch. The game combines factory-building, roguelite progression, and tower defense mechanics into a creative experience where players mass-produce shape-based heroes (◯, △, ▢) and send them into battle against waves of inky enemies. With its pop-up book aesthetic and endlessly replayable gameplay, ShapeHero Factory is built for invention, tinkering, and strategic chaos.

Build, Sketch, and Defend

Production lines transform these primitive doodles into living heroes, from basic fighters to shield-bearers and pointy-hatted wizards. Every run challenges you to sketch smarter, expand faster, and balance creativity against the ticking clock.

  • Factory Meets Fantasy – Combine shapes on conveyor belts to mass-produce unique heroes.
  • Roguelite Progression – Unlock recipes, artifacts, and advanced creations with every conquered wave.
  • Tower Defense Tactics – Deploy armies of shape-heroes against escalating waves of ink enemies and massive bosses.
  • Endless Replayability – Explore scaling difficulty, unlock alternative Masters, and experiment with watercolor-styled legendary heroes all with various challenge modes.
