Today developer and publisher Serenity Forge (To the Moon, LISA, Fractured Blooms) released their emotional narrative adventure, Return to Ash, on PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam. Serenity Forge is also pairing the release of this brand-new visual novel with the console debut of BAD END THEATER from developer NomnomNami. This viral interactive tale is now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Return to Ash is a narrative-driven visual novel focused on relationship building and emotional storytelling. After awakening in a mysterious afterlife, Ashleigh must forge bonds with other trapped souls and face impossible trials from a masked being who calls themself “Death”. Your decisions will shape each character’s journey and determine how their stories end. Will you trust and help those around you? Or will you fight for a second chance at life, no matter the cost?
BAD END THEATER is an interactive adventure where the player can decide the fate of four protagonists through a unique narrative experience. Blending puzzles into an enchanting visual novel, BAD END THEATER tells a mature story with lighthearted pixel art visuals and charming writing. The stage is yours and you decide how everything plays out, but every decision leads to a bad ending. Can you out‑act destiny?
