Scott Pilgrim EX Crashes San Diego Comic-Con with Exclusive Panel, Signed Swag, and a Live Show

Scott Pilgrim EX is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2025, and it’s bringing plenty of chaos, excitement, and evil ex-beatdowns with it. The upcoming 2D brawler from Tribute Games, Universal Products & Experiences, and Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley will be making a big appearance during the event with a panel, signings, exclusive gameplay reveals, and even a rock show to wrap it all up.

During SDCC 2025, fans will get a closer look at Scott and Ramona’s brand-new adventure, where they’ll have to battle three dangerous gangs who’ve taken over Toronto and now threaten the world. This is the first original Scott Pilgrim video game in more than 15 years, and based on what was teased during Summer Game Fest, 2025 it’s shaping up to be something special. Scott Pilgrim EX is set to release in early 2026 for PC and consoles, and this Comic-Con panel is the next major stop before that day comes.

The panel, titled Scott Pilgrim EX with Bryan Lee O’Malley and Tribute Games, will take place on Saturday, July 26, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM PT in Room 5AB. The lineup includes Bryan Lee O’Malley (creator of Scott Pilgrim and creative consultant on the game), Jean-Francois Major (president of Tribute Games), Yannick Belzil (narrative designer at Tribute), Josh Fairhurst (CEO of Limited Run Games), and John Melchior (executive producer at Universal Products & Experiences). It’ll be hosted by Griffin Newman from the Blank Check podcast. Expect new gameplay footage, a deeper dive into the game’s narrative, and probably a few surprises if O’Malley has anything to say about it.

Fans heading to SDCC 2025 will also be able to catch Bryan Lee O’Malley at the Oni Press booth (#1829), where he’ll be signing a free poster featuring the game’s announcement artwork. Signings will take place across three different sessions. Thursday, July 24 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM PT, Friday, July 25 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM PT, and Saturday, July 26 from 3:30 to 6:00 PM PT. The posters are free, but you’ll want to show up early if you want to leave with one.

That’s not all. After the first day of SDCC 2025 on Thursday, July 24, Tribute Games is throwing a party at the Voodoo Room inside San Diego’s House of Blues (1055 Fifth Ave, in the Gaslamp Quarter). It’ll feature a live rock show from none other than Anamanaguchi, the legendary band behind the soundtrack of the original Scott Pilgrim game, and now back for Scott Pilgrim EX. The event is free but capped at just 200 people. Doors open at 7 PM, and if past shows are any indication, it’s going to be packed.

If you’re going to be at SDCC 2025, this is your chance to get in early, get some signed swag, and hear what’s next from the world of Scott, Ramona, and the rest of the gang.
