It has been since last Summer Games Fest when we got our first look at Scott Pilgrim EX, a sequel to the long-beloved beat ’em up, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. The day is finally here, and the game has launched. Tribute Games has been showing new characters with each trailer, with the final one being revealed today.
Scott Pilgrim EX shows us that a lot of the playable roster is filled with Ramona Flowers’ previous EX’s. Scott Pilgrim joins them to figure out who kidnapped his friends and help get them back.
To fend off the forces of evil that have fallen on Toronto, one more brawler is joining Scott Pilgrim EX’s roster – the evilest ex of all, Gideon Graves, bringing the game’s final roster to seven unique playable characters. With his style and flair, Gideon brings a new brawling style to Scott Pilgrim EX, unleashed from the board room and into the streets, the League of Evil Exes founder puts the pressure on his enemies with a relentless offense, perfect for fighters who think the best defense is beating up everyone in their path.
In celebration of the game’s launch, Hot Topic (playfully known as ‘Cold Topic’ in-game) has launched a series of exclusive Scott Pilgrim EX tees plus a tank inspired by the unique art of the game available now on HotTopic.com. Also marking the launch is Scott Pilgrim EX (Official Soundtrack), featuring an all-new score written and performed by Scott Pilgrim alumni Anamanaguchi. The soundtrack is available digitally today across streaming platforms and is now open for pre-order on CD and vinyl.
