As we’ve made painfully clear on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast and via articles on this website, we NEED a Nintendo Direct, and we need it soon! Like, seriously, we need a 1st party Direct to highlight what is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 soon, when they’re arriving, and what we have to look forward to in 2026. It’s really hard waiting, and yet, we have no choice. The saddest part is that we know of certain games that will come to the console this year, like Kirby Air Riders, but we have no true details about what will be in them.
Thankfully, it appears that hope is on the horizon! The one and only Masahiro Sakurai noted on Twitter that we are likely to get info on Kirby Air Riders “soon.” The translation for the tweet reads:
It doesn’t matter to most people, but today, Sora Co., Ltd. is celebrating its 20th anniversary. …That’s a long time! Thank you for your continued support. The new game *Kirby Air Riders* hasn’t even shown gameplay footage yet, but I think we’ll be able to share some information soon. Please wait!
Do we have a choice on the waiting part, Daddy Sakurai? No? Okay, then, we’ll wait. We all know that Sakurai will put his all into this Kirby title, so we’ll just wait for the next trailer to drop, whenever that is, and we’ll hope a release date comes with it.
