Gearing up to take over the global music scene, 7-member J-pop girl group HANA has released their new single “COLD NIGHT” – LISTEN HERE.

The new song marks their first-ever anime tie-in, serving as the opening theme to season 2 of the Medalist series, which premiered alongside the track’s release. Created to inspire and encourage listeners – whether they are chasing their dreams, hesitating at a crossroads, or facing a night when the path ahead feels unclear – “Cold Night” marks a bold new direction for HANA as a straightforward and uplifting anthem. In contrast to their previously released tracks, the single showcases a fresh new sound for the group, highlighted by its honest and direct lyrics.
Born from a Japanese girl group audition series entitled No No Girls, HANA is set to make their full-length eponymous debut with HANA, which will be available digitally worldwide on February 23, 2026. The album features 11 tracks, including all previously released singles, a live recording of “Tiger,” and two brand-new songs, “Bloom” and “ALL IN.”
Of “Cold Night,” HANA says, “Hello! We’re HANA, and we’re honored to perform the opening theme for the anime Medalist! “Cold Night” is an anthem for everyone who’s growing, challenging themselves, and working hard toward their dreams. No matter how many times you fall, if you keep getting back up and pushing forward, we truly believe dreams come true—and we want to be there to give you that push with all our hearts. If our music can help even one person face forward, we’d be so happy. Please enjoy this song together with the anime Medalist!”
