RGG Studios Announces RGG Summit Near Tokyo Game Show 2025

By Kevin KellyAugust 31, 2025
RGG Studios is having a direct soon

Yakuza / Like A Dragon developer, RGG Studios, will be hosting their very own broadcast called RGG Direct. The event will take place on September 24th at 4:00 a.m. PT / 7:00 a.m. ET, which seems to coincide with the Tokyo Game Show 2025 event. This will give folks  “a closer look at some of the studio’s latest announcements.”.

The speculation could be related to a better look at the New Virtua Fighter Project, which had promised new footage after its preview at Evo USA 2025. “Stella” and “Akira” went blow for blow in a training ground in that run. Unlike previous showings earlier this year, the fight was similar to what was expected from a Virtua Fighter game with a bit of Dead or Alive speed. RGG Studios also did a Like A Dragon Direct for their Infinite Wealth game earlier this year. Stranger Than Heaven, also. Other projects from RGG could be up for show.

Both Virtua Fighter teams, Legacy and New VF Project, have been showing their wares in their dedicated Virtua Fighter Direct to discuss both the earlier versions and the new game, along with the latest updates in the ongoing Virtua Fighter Open Championships this year. The first North American online bracket is over, and the European runs are still ongoing for the tournament.
