Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak Arrives Summer 2025

During the latest Xbox Partner Preview on October 17, 2024, Remedy Entertainment unveiled FBC: Firebreak a multiplayer title that takes place in the same universe of Control. Now, during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase (2025), the developer revealed that FBC: Firebreak will be released this Summer 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam / Epic  Games Store). FBC: Firebreak will be the first title that will be self-published by Remedy Entertainment.

Along with the reveal of the Summer release window, a new trailer for FBC: Firebreak has been revealed to give us a new look at the title. Check out the new trailer below.

When the Oldest House—the Bureau’s ever-shifting headquarters—comes under siege by a relentless paranatural force, only Firebreak, its most adaptable response unit, can restore order. FBC: Firebreak is a session-based, multiplayer PvE stand-alone experience set in the acclaimed Control universe, delivering intense cooperative online action. To contain this growing threat, players will undertake missions known as Jobs—each uniquely designed with different objectives, environments, and challenges that demand coordination and adaptability.

Three players facing the madness of Control’s world? Sounds like a lot of fun. And judging by the latest trailer, FBC: Firebreak is shaping up to be something special. I just hope that Remedy can pull it off.

Until the game is released and you haven’t played Control, I recommend that you do. Not to mention that Control 2 is still being planned by Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games, however, there hasn’t been a release date announced for that as of yet.
