Red Fox Webtoon Recieves Animation Adaptation

By Josh PiedraMay 12, 2025

It was announced that the Korean streaming platform LAFTEL will launch an animated adaptation of HAMA’s Red Fox webtoon. The adaptation is scheduled to begin streaming on May 19 on YouTube; however, the series will be age-restricted due to it being a horror-romance.

Red Fox

The webtoon was serialized on Naver Series and Kakao Webtoon from 2013 to 2015. An English version was available on Tappytoon; however, it has since been removed. Readers who purchased the English version still have access; however, it is no longer available for new readers.

The story of Red Fox is described as follows:

Welcome to Ibana, a beautiful country also known as the red country. Here, lives the red fox, a wily beast who takes on the form of a human and feasts on the livers of humans. For hundreds of years, the fox kills without hesitation until, thanks to one human woman, it comes to know what that human emotion called “love,” truly is. Out of the land of fire, erupts the cruel yet tragic love story of one evil spirit who yearns to possess the heart of one human woman.

A promotional video for the animation was revealed and can be viewed here.
