Pokemon Legends Z-A Gets Special Gameplay Video and Key Art Gallery

By Todd BlackJuly 28, 2025
Pokemon Legends Z-A, Nintendo Switch 2

As the eternal wait for the next Nintendo Direct continues, Switch 2 fans can take heart that we do know when another big game for the new console will come out. Pokemon Legends Z-A will arrive on October 16th, and even though the recent Pokemon Presents wasn’t the best, fans are still excited about jumping into this new version of Lumiose City. What many are arguably even more eager about is being able to enjoy the game with the higher performance of the Nintendo Switch 2. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were infamous for framerate issues and other visual bugs, and many hope that this new game won’t have those.

To that end, The Pokemon Company did reveal a gameplay video showing off combat in the title via the Nintendo Switch 2, and it does appear to be pretty steady in its framerate and graphical quality. Check it out below:

As if that’s not enough, they also dropped an art gallery for the characters you’ll meet in Pokemon Legends Z-A, including the different looks of your avatar, their friend upon arrival in Lumiose, and the others you’ll encounter on your journey.

Hopefully, more videos and spotlights like this will happen as we draw closer to release.
