Persona 3 Reload Brings Best Boy Koromaru To Play

By William "Shadowz" KokNovember 13, 2023

The mascot of Persona 3 Reload. The Albino Shiba and best dog Koromaru summons his way in the newest character trailer. Voiced by Shinya Takahashi. No, not the Nintendo General Manager of Entertainment planning.

The trailer begins with Koromaru and the Hero watching a documentary on wolves on TV.  It then transitions to when the Hero playing a Go match with an Old man. During the match, Koromaru had an idea of what to do next, but the old man said that it was too early for a hint. We then see Koromaru facing off against another dog that was bothering a child. Next, we see Koromaru facing off against a Shadow demonstrating his critical hit animation. Then we see his Theurgy attack in which he summons Cereberus and does fury strikes and a dual tech X slash. Given his persona type, it also has a dark element attached to the Theurgy attack.  Last, we see Hero and Koromaru in front of the dorms enjoying takoyaki. Suddenly the dog that bothered the child earlier is now hungry. Seeing the dog in that state, the Hero suggests Koromaru to share his Takoyaki, to which he is happy to oblige. Only going to show that even with enemies, he makes friends with them. Such a good boy!

From this trailer, it seems that the dog outings that we can go on back in Persona 3 Portable and FES have been greatly expanded. From the new events that can happen like the Go match, to encountering kids and life around town. It shows that Persona 3 Reload is being more interactive between Tartarus exploration and Social Link development. Here I hope there are more events than what was shown in the trailer.

The next trailer is expected to the Aigis, the anit shadow weapon. You can see the last trailer of Fuuka Yamagishi here.

Persona 3 Reload is set to release on February 2, 2024, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC Windows, and Steam.
