People of Note Demo and Release date reveal

Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Iridium Studios just dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer for the turn-based RPG, People of Note. That’s not all, as we now know the release date, April 7, 2026, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. The game will be priced at $24.99, with a 10% launch discount,

Check it out the gameplay trailer!

There’s also a Steam demo available right now. So, if you’ve been curious about People of Note, now’s your chance to see what this musical RPG is really about.

What Is People Of Note?

In People of Note, you play as Cadence, a young pop singer who gets shut out of the prestigious Noteworthy Song Contest. Realizing her solo act is not enough, she sets off across the world of Note to build a band that can actually compete. From the Rock City of Durandis to the EDM-heavy Lumina, she recruits musicians whose styles are as diverse as the cities themselves.

Combat is turn-based, but each band member brings their own genre and abilities into the mix. You can switch genres mid-battle, create mashups, and lean into party synergy in ways that feel strategic rather than gimmicky. This is not just music-themed, the music is the system. Beyond combat, there are puzzles and dungeon-style exploration; it’s a full-blown RPG experience. Think of like Final Fantasy, but you’re using the power of music against the baddies.

We recently went hands-on with People of Note and wrote up a full preview on the site. Per, Scott Adams, who played the game for the preview, the musical mechanics feel integrated into the core design and it is an enjoyable RPG. If you want his full thoughts, you can check out our People of Note Hands-On Preview.
