It’s always a thrill when you find a TV show or movie that you didn’t expect to like, but once you watch it, you want more. For me, that happened with a certain Hulu mystery series starring Steven Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. That’s the definition of an “odd trio,” and yet, because of its great writing and fun twists, the show was a hit, and now, we’re just weeks away from the arrival of Only Murders In The Building Season 5. That’s not a joke, by the way.
As noted by Deadline and Hulu, Only Murders In The Building Season 5 will debut its first three episodes on September 9th, with another episode dropping each week after. Just as important, here is the synopsis for the new season:
“After their beloved doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe it was an accident. Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia. The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.”
Still not enough for you? Well, we know that the celebrity guest stars for the season will include: Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, and Jermaine Fowler! That’s a nice list, huh?
